Felton: ‘Potter’ cast feel pressure

A short article from Digital Spy. It mentions Tom playing in the SoccerAid on Sunday, the 7th.

Tom Felton has admitted that the cast of Harry Potter feel under pressure to be good role models.

Felton, who plays Draco Malfoy, claimed that the stars are often required to “keep things under their hats” because of their young fanbase.

He told DS: “I feel slightly under pressure. When we’re in the studios there’s kids coming around all day.

“It’s not so bad for me as Draco because he’s a bad character, but there are these kids that look up to the cast.

“There’s definitely a feeling that you need to keep things under your hat.”

The 20-year-old added: “There’s also the pride of working for Warner Bros. We don’t want to make an a**e of ourselves and demoralise the producers.”

Speaking about his career plans beyond Potter, Felton said: “Mark my words, if you see me in two years stacking shelves in Tesco, I wouldn’t be surprised.

“There’s a mixture of relief and disappointment. It’s a relief because the end is in sight, but equally terrifying is that I don’t know what I’m going to do afterwards. I’ve no idea.”

Felton will play as part of the England team in Sunday’s UNICEF Soccer Aid event, which airs on ITV at 6pm.

  2. I like Toms honesty it must be so diifficult for them whilst filming and to keep their image as they are just normal I like their loyalty.
Tom stacking shelves for Tesco I don.t think so

  3. I don’t think I could act so normal in front of everybody like they have to. I’m too much of a weirdo to be that cool. And I agree with Tina on the honesty thing. Uber points for that one. And what the heck is a Tesco? o.O
