Tom Felton informed Feltbeats.com earlier today that he is going to participate in the Pirates Adventure Charity Premiere event to benefit the Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital. He jumped at the opportunity when asked, he said. “I was very keen to do it.”
The Charity Premiere event will take place May 3, in Majorca, Spain.
As part of the event, children who are seriously ill are taken to Majorca, Spain, to spend a weekend with celebrities and to attend the premiere of Pirates Adventure show. Last year the event raised more than €100,000 to aid the Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital, and this year the event organizers aim to break through half a million Euros.
According to the Pirates Adventure Web site, the premiere event will also be open to the public for €100 per seat on the Quarter Deck (Adult or child) and €50 on the Main Deck. (Map of stage and more information here.)
More information about the event:
We are pleased to announce that our Charity Premiere in aid of Great Ormond Street Childrens Hospital will be on
Saturday May 2nd at 19.00.Over the last 5 years we have raised more than €400,000 for the hospital and last years total was €115,392. We are aiming to break through half a million Euros this year with your help.
Your ticket will include white wine, red wine, lager and soft drinks for the night, but please note that no food will be served.
The original idea for a Charity Gala night came out of a brainstorming session amongst the Pirates staff. We wanted to do a big night to launch the season and raise money for a good cause at the same time. We are a family show so a lot of our audience are kids and we wanted to do something for children so we approached Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital. Within 30 seconds we realised that we could do something to help. Over the past 5 years the gala nights have raised almost half a million euros and have funded a special ‘Pirates’ treatment room at the hospital. Many of our staff and performers have formed long-standing relationships with Great Ormond Street and they visit the hospital when they are in the UK.
Pirates has thrilled more than 3 million people over the past 24 years with a unique mix of spectacle, music, dance and fun.
The ‘Pirates experience’ begins even before the show does! As you approach the specially designed theatre you realise that you are in for night unlike any other. Our swashbuckling heroes escort you to your table where you feast on buccaneering fayre washed down with flagons of pirate punch. Then the epic tale unfolds all around you as the pirates perform incredible feats and amazing stunts that will take your breath away
