“If You Could Be Anywhere”

By Tom Felton

One two three four…

If I had a plane where would I fly to?
If I had to use my brain for something else tell me what would I do?
And if I had a strange conversation with a lady in a waiting room about leaving all this doom and gloom.

If you could be anywhere where would you be?
If you could be anywhere would you be there with me?

If I could be anywhere I’d be there.
If I could be anywhere I’d be there with you girl.

If I had a clue I would know exactly what to do.
If I had a way to let you know where I wanted to go
And if I had a strange conversation with a lady in the street telling me to move my tired feet.

If you could be anywhere where would you be?
If you could be anywhere would you be there with me?

If I could be anywhere I’d be there.
If I could be anywhere I’d be there with you girl.

Take my chances
Break my glances
Wake those answers.
Anywhere but …

Take my chances
Fake my glances
Wake those answers
Anywhere but here

Yeahhh…

I’ll do it anywhere but here
I’ll do it anywhere but here.

  1. Take my chances
    Break my glances
    Wake those answers.
    Anywhere but …

It’s just like the second part.
    Take. Fake. Wake.
Just like in the interview from before.

    Fake

    not Break

  2. Of Tom’s songs, this just doesn’t have the same heart. It seems almost like he was trying to hard. He needs to learn that music is from the soul not the mind. He thought to much on the lyrics and not on the meaning. His other songs on In Good Hands, they were about love and relationships and this has a speradic meaning. You get the impression that its about leaving someplace and then he brings a girl into it. His last lyrics with fake, break, and take didn’t make any sense. He really does, before writing, needs to think about the base of the meaning and add onto it from his experience and heart. Everyone loves honesty and in this age honesty is hard to come by. I really love his music and would love to hear more, but he needs to organize his songs and focus on one meaning. Otherwise we get confused and fall out of love with him, which may seem hard but is a possibility. Just let your heart guide your songs and stop over thinking the lyrics. Keep singing Tom. I am still behind you no matter what.
