In new interview, Dan Radcliffe calls Tom Felton “really good friend”

In a recent interview with The Guardian, Dan Radcliffe (Harry Potter) calls Tom Felton a “really good friend.”

He proceeds to tell me the people he “absolutely loves” on set: Rupert Grint, who plays Ron Weasley, and Emma Watson, who plays Hermione Granger. “They are, to all intents and purposes, my brother and sister.” Are they all best friends? “Probably not, only because we don’t see each other out of filming. But someone like Tom Felton, who plays Malfoy, I’d count among my really good friends. I went to the cricket with him on Sunday.”

Indeed, we know from Tom’s Twitter account that he and Jade have actually gone to cricket with Dan on a few occasions!

Here is a picture of Dan during one of those matches (ICC Twenty20 World Cup match between England and Pakistan at The Brit Oval on June 7, 2009 in London, England). Tom and Jade are sitting next to him – in fact, those are probably Tom’s hands at the bottom of the picture.
