In March, Tom was at the birthday party of Perez Hilton (we reported here and here). PopStopTV was also there and they talked with Tom about the film “Hunger Games”.
Casting for the second installment of “The Hunger Games” franchise just started and fans are going crazy with ideas. Despite reports that Taylor Kitsch, Garrett Hedlund, and Armie Hammer are in the running to play heartthrob Finnick Odair in “Catching Fire”, sources tell PopStop TV News that the three actors are not the only ones being considered by Lionsgate.
One actor who’s been getting a lot of buzz for his latest movie “The Apparition” has told us exclusively he’d be very interested in playing the integral role! British star Tom Felton is ready to ditch his antagonist Draco Malfoy image for a much more handsome part.
The 24-year-old “Harry Potter” star revealed that he’s a big “Hunger Games” fan. “I was there at the Hunger Games premiere,” Tom told me exclusively. “I was very impressed. My girlfriend is an avid reader of the books and told me that I had to go and see this film. It’s awesome. It speaks for itself and the I can’t wait for the next one.”
So, would he want a part in “Catching Fire”? “For sure,” Tom dished. “I’ve been reading into this Finnick character. He’s a pretty awesome character. You never know! Fingers crossed. One day, you never know.”
Not only is Tom the same age as Finnick, his stunning eyes and roguishly handsome brown hair is very close to Finnick’s physical description. His arrogant mannerisms and elitist attitude as Draco in the Harry Potter franchize convinced us he can play the superficial soldier.
This is something I do not see Tom doing. Sorry but something much much better for him. 🙂

OMG! If Tom plays this role I would die! Freaking clash of the best actor on earth and Hunger Games?! That would be amazing! I am squealing my head off because I would die of happiness if you played him! I mean a good guy for once! Please please please look in to it! That would be THE best movie in the world. Better than, sorry Robert, Robert Pattinson being In it! Ur so much cuter, a better actor and culd be really funny! U totally should play him!
I don’t see him doing it either. Honestly, he can be cute on occasion but nowhere near a Hollywood hunk material. He is not in contention for a reason, and using an interview to ask for the role is a bit pathetic. And there are no pictures of Tom at the premiere because while he seems famous to us, he is a very minor personality to the rest of the world.
