“Elephant Project” was started by David Niederhoffer after his grandfather passed away from Alzheimer’s disease. The organization collect photos and autographs from celebrities, which are then auctioned off in an Elephant Project auction package as part of the fundraising efforts of “The Elephant Project” to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association.

The elephant is the symbol of the project because there is a phrase that says, “elephants never forget,” and in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease, we are striving for those afflicted with it to “never forget.”
