Jonah Hill discusses Tom’s Felton’s cameo in “Get Him To The Greek”

In a recent Q&A session during a pre-screening of “Get Him To the Greek” at the University of Washington, Russell Brand and Jonah Hill answer questions from the audience.

At a little more than a minute into the session, someone asks, “Whose idea was it to get Draco Malfoy in the movie?” and Jonah tells a cute story of meeting Tom on the Harry Potter set:

That actually is a good story. So we were shooting in London for Russell’s… umm, umm… role (laughs), and I got invited to the set of the Harry Potter movie, which is awesome. Because they said they were fans of mine, so I went.

And as it turns out, Tom Felton, who plays Draco Malfoy, was like a huge – Well, turns out, HE was the one that was like a big fan. It wasn’t everybody else who was a big fan. (laughs)

Which is awesome because he’s a great guy. So he was so nice, and we talked for a long time and I got a tour, and at that time we were asking many celebrities – we would ask them to come be in the film, so I was telling the director, I met Tom Felton who plays Draco Malfoy – do you want him in the movie? He was like, “Sure!”

So I called [Tom] and he was totally down. He let us make Harry Potter jokes, he was so awesome. He was great, he was so nice and so funny. It was cool he let us do that.

Here is a video of the Q&A session:

  1. Yes, I had noticed how hard it was for Thomas to hide whatever admiration he was feeling for any other director or artist. Pretty much like a child about to go to a fair. Which is far more honest than anything else.

    With Love,

    Sam.

  2. I saw an advanced screening for it. Me and a friend went soley for Tom’s cameo but we ended up loving all of it. I very highly recommend watching it when it comes out.

  3. Wow. I love Russell Brand immensely, but I would just go watch this movie for Tom’s cameo.

    ^_^
