Tom Felton and the Wet “Harry Potter” Wrap Party

The official wrap party for all things “Harry Potter” was yesterday, and in keeping with the spirit of the children’s books, an afternoon fun fair was held at the studio they made their home at for the past decade, Leavesden. As typical for “Harry Potter” events in the UK, it rained during the event.

It’s the end of an era for Daniel Radcliffe and his Harry Potter co-stars as they marked the final film in the lucrative franchise.

So to mark the completion of Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part II, the cast and crew of the films returned to Leavesden Film Studios in Hertfordshire one last time for a lavish wrap party yesterday.

Radcliffe, 21, joined a host of his co-stars, including Rupert Grint, Jim Broadbent and Tom Felton for the bash.
tudio Warner Brothers and author JK Rowling hosted a gigantic afternoon party in Leavesden, complete with fun fair.

Despite the rain showers throughout the day, the cast and crew didn’t let the weather affect their fun and were spotted looking soggy as they left in their cars.

Revellers braved the downpours to ride the Chair-O-Planes, ghost train and dodgems, amongst other attractions.

Grint, who has played Ron Weasley since the films started nine years ago, showed he has been spending some of his multi-million pound fortune as he drove in a pristine white Audi sports car.

Grint and co-star Emma Watson were paid a reported £20million for Deathly Hallows Parts I and II, while Radcliffe was rumoured to have received around £35milion.

Also in attendance was actress Anna Friel, with her long-term partner David Thewlis, who plays Professor Remus Lupin, and Jarvis Cocker, who recorded tracks for the soundtrack to Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire.

Felton, who plays the Harry’s class nemesis Draco Malfoy, appeared to have reverted to his natural hair colour after years of dying his hair platinum blonde for the role.

Nowhere to be seen was the franchise’s leading lady Emma Watson, who recently shorn off her long locks into an elfin crop.

The final films sees Harry and co attempt to destroy the secret to Voldemort’s immortality and defend Hogwarts from potential destruction.

Split into two separate films, Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part I will be released in November 2010, with Part II following in July 2011.

As soon as more photos are available from the event, you will find them in our galleries.

And yes, that’s the same shirt Tom wore at San Diego’s Comic Con. I know I’m not the only one that would notice that. 😉

  1. He does look sad and well, dirty either from mud or chocolate. Several deep breaths and the hope of seeing him suceed in the future, bye Harry, sniff!

  2. He looks a bit damp from the rain. We still have BOTH DH movies to look forward to, and plus a whole lot more is on the horizon for Tom and Friends : )

  3. aww he looks sad to be leaving (and yes, damp too haha) but also looks sweet as could be <3

  4. haha, it’s not mud or chocolate… it’s just the shadow of raindrops on the windshield which were unfortunately placed. =)

  5. I noticed THAT shirt again must be a favoutite of Toms.
Tom looks likehe is taking one last look at the place that was his home fot many years must have been an emotional occassion for him & his co stars

  6. I like how all these gossip articles made it sound like Emma skipped the wrap party. Over at the ONTD lj blog, there’s a pic of her there with a fan.

  7. I’m glad to know than despite the barrels of water pouring over their heads, they all enjoyed their last time together.

Yes, Thomas’s sadness is genuinely emotional and sincere, as he’s about to take leave with his car. My only guess is than the reality of it finally sunk into him it was truly over, and that he’d not return to these studios next year to resume Draco’s role.

    With Love,

    Sam.
