Tom Felton: Supanova Supastar!

Thanks to Australian fan account TomFeltonAU for tweeting this story in the Sydney Morning Herald about Tom Felton at the Supanova event in Brisbane. Included with the article was also a fun video showing the event, including a snip of Tom at around the 2:10 mark. I couldn’t embed it, so click on the screenshots below to view the article and video. Enjoy!

Stars come out for Supanova

Is it a bird, is it a plane, or is it Justin Bieber? No, it’s a Harry Potter star posing for photos with hoards of giggling fans.

Rumbling into action like Chewbacca’s roar, Australia’s annual Supanova pop culture expo began its 2011 tour in Brisbane at the weekend.

Thousands of science fiction fans, comic book nerds, geeks and Japanese anime freaks braved lengthy queues and warm weather in their quest to conquer this year’s event.

Christopher “Doc” Lloyd failed to materialise, leaving Back to the Future aficionados crestfallen, but there was plenty of excitement among would-be wizards with the presence of Tom Felton, otherwise known as Harry Potter’s arch nemesis, Draco Malfoy.

Fans patiently waited to get a photograph with the young actor, which led to bemused expressions from more than few of the older personalities.

“You’ve got to feel for the others,” said Jessica Nicholson, 15, of Albion. “I don’t really know who a couple of them are but I might just line up for their autograph anyway.”

  1. True.

Some people, although not necessarily knowing who is in whatever movie/series, are willing to get in line to get their autograph.

A pity “DOC” didn’t shown up, though.

Back to The Future is a beloved movie classic trilogy, and DOC symbolises by himself all this madness to travel back and forth in time.

    With Love,

    Sam.

  2. Yes, I agree with Samantha, it confirms the loyalty of fans, because they do not need to know in any movie / series are ready to stand in queue to get their autograph. Back to the Future movie makes me excited, but it’s a great trilogy. MLC has not shown up yet. This highly original film, because the audience sees him as a possible way.

    With Love,
