Deadline has announced last year that Tom Felton will star in the WWII Thriller Burial.
Today, Midgard Times reported:
World War II thriller ‘Burial’ has begun filming in European country Estonia on May 3rd. The filming was supposed to start in the last quarter of 2020 but was delayed due to COVID restrictions and the untimely death of Diana Rigg, who was supposed to star in the film.
The film currently stars Harry Potter star Tom Felton, Ian Hart who appeared in ‘Escape from Pretoria’ as Denis Goldberg, Niamh Algar, and Tom Glynn-Carney. Additional cast info is still kept under the wraps.
‘Burial,’ A WWII-set thriller follows a small band of Soviet soldiers who must escape from Berlin to Moscow whilst harboring one of the World’s greatest secrets, Hitler’s remains.
Ben Parker is directing ‘Burial,’, which is set in the last days of WWII and tells the fictional story of a small band of Russian soldiers, led by intelligence officer Brana Vasilyeva, tasked with trafficking the remains of Hitler back to Stalin in Russia.
As of now, there is not much information available about the story or the roles the actors will be playing but we know that it’s an escape and survival mission that combines the thrill and suspense of Green Room and Don’t Breathe.
“En route, the unit is attacked by German ‘Werwolf’ partisans and picked off one-by-one. Brana leads her surviving comrades in the last stand to ensure their ‘cargo’ doesn’t fall into the hands of those who would see it buried, in order to hide the truth forever.”
‘Werwolf’ was a Nazi plan, which began development in 1944, to create a resistance force that would operate behind enemy lines as the Allies advanced through Germany. Ultimately, Werwolf’s propaganda value far outweighed its actual achievements.
