Thanks to Snitchseeker.com and Mugglenet.com, we have this great new shot of Tom Felton as Draco in “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part I.” The Malfoy family looks freaked out, man.
Also revealed today was the fact that the movie split will take place right after the Malfoy Manor scene, when Voldemort finally acquires the Elder Wand. Unless I’m wrong, this means that Tom will be in one of the first scenes (Voldemort’s table where they are ‘interrogating’ Bathilda Bagshot) and also the Malfoy manor scene at the end of the movie!
Thanks to Feltbeats.com reporter Amy_Marie97, we’ve got this wonderful interview with Tom at ComicCon. In the interview, Tom gives more details about upcoming projects.
UPDATE: New video of the interview, from Amy_Marie97!
* Tom has NOT signed an official record deal with Six String productions. He says that the company blew the concept out of proportion. Tom discussed that he and Six String have talked about possibly recording some of his previous songs, and maybe in the future he will do something, but as of yet NO record/album deal has been declared. He mentioned that they are both willing and able to work with each other, and have been talking. Just talking. Tom actually mentioned he was a bit frustrated that Six String blew it so out of proportion. He said their general good working relationship is a bit strained. He says he has no intention of a career change, and definitely “won’t be getting in the pop scene”.
* Tom said he wasn’t able to keep any memorabilia from set. He wanted Draco’s wand and cape for sure, but couldn’t get it. He did say, however, that he was excited about getting Draco’s wand at WWOHP.
* Tom say’s he absolutely loves to see himself as a little Draco Lego player. He admits though, that he isn’t very good at playing. =)
* As far as hard parts of Deathly Hallows filming wise, Tom said that the Room of Requirement scene was very physical. He said he was exhausted after the filming.
* The ‘post production’ part of DH that Tom is most looking forward to are the effects and CGI. He mentioned he has always been impressed with the incredible team, and thanked them for all their hard work. He also mentioned that he absolutely loves the scores from the movies – from the big booms to the small xylophone chimes. He says they always nail it right on. Also, he is always interested to see how they piece the movie together – because they shoot everything at once.
* When asked what his favorite part of the past 10 years on set, Tom said “The end still hasn’t hit me yet”. He mentioned that its all a moshpot and he couldn’t pick out a favorite part if he wanted to.
* On that note, when asked about any funny moments from the past few years, Tom said he really would have to think about it. However, he did mention some funny moments from filming Malfoy Manor. Apparently, there are points where Dan and Tom have their faces right next to each other, and they just kept cracking up. They made jokes, and Tom even mentioned it felt like there should have been a kiss coming.
* He discussed the emotions of Draco during the Final Battle. He said that Draco had his “head hung low”, because he felt the burden of going from the ‘good’ side to the bad. He said there was just a moshpot (there’s that word again) of emotions that needed to be portrayed.
