Tweet #FootlooseFelton and win a prize!

For fun, a group of us Tom Felton fans have been pushing the idea that Tom Felton is perfect for the upcoming musical re-make of “Footloose.” According to news accounts, the producers are currently searching for a new leading man. Look no further: Tom can already sing, he can act (of course!) and he would bring his world-wide fan base behind the movie instantly.

But of course there is much more. Tom has that ‘attitude’ and edgy style that is perfect for the part of Ren.

So we want to create a great new contest to help spread the word that Tom would be great for this movie!

The BEST tweets (best reasons, funniest, most clever, etc.) will all win prizes!

First Place: A copy of “The Borrowers” DVD, a Tom Felton keychain and a Tom Felton lanyard.

Second and Third Place: A copy of “The Borrowers” DVD starring Tom Felton.

(Thanks to lovely Feltbeats admin, @bserlori for the prizes.)

So here are the details:

For the full day today, please tweet your best tweets to straight to Footloose director Craig Brewer at @mybrewtube and tell him your best reason why Tom should be in Footloose. You MUST include the #FootlooseFelton hashtag (that’s how we will track the tweets and pick the winners!). Craig doesn’t know we’re doing this, so keep that in mind (be specific in your tweets!).

For example:

@mybrewtube I would love to see @TomFelton cast in Footloose because I want to hear his lovely voice on big movie speakers! #FootlooseFelton

Thanks, and good luck! Tweet us at @feltbeats if you have any questions!

Tom Felton featured in Nylon magazine’s “New Hollywood” edition

With a really big, huge thanks to our friends at RupertGrint.net, we now have a scan of Tom’s feature in Nylon magazine, including a new photo and a nice interview. Tom was one of several actors selected by Nylon magazine for their “Young Hollywood” feature.

In the interview, Tom discusses his hair color (and glasses!) while filming his new movie, “Apparition,” his fame, and the impact that Harry Potter and specifically JK Rowling have had on his life.

The thing about being a bad, bad man on film is that people tend to believe you’re a bad, bad man in real life. But Tom Felton isn’t anything like Harry Potter’s nemesis, Draco Malfoy – something he’s hoping his next movie, The Apparition, will prove.

If you change my hair color and pull glasses on me, I don’t even recognize myself. The first three days after I arrived in Berlin for Apparition (with Ashley Greene and Sebestian Stan), I had the blond Draco Malfoy hair, and I kept getting asked for autographs. Then they dyed it and nobody ever recognized me.

I got booed off the stage at a children’s awards show. But I’ve always said, if I manage to convince someone that I’m an evil little bastard, I must be doing something right.

Harry Potter is the most powerful catalyst ever. If there’s someone you want to get in with, the first question is, Do they have kids? Yes? Brilliant. Tell them I’ll get Daniel Radcliffe ’round their house.

I wrote to JK Rowling, thanking her. Not only for the great stories and for bringing literacy back single-handedly, but she gave me a lot more than that. I’ve met a lot of friends for life and met my girlfriend on that set.

I don’t think you ever think that you’ve made it. I don’t think Rob Pattinson even thinks that. It’s not all about what happens in a year, it’s about what happens in hopefully in 10, 20, or 30 years.

I write songs for fun. There are a lot of hours as an actor when you’re not doing anything, so my guitar dwindles my time away pretty productively. If I weren’t an actor, I’d be a struggling musician. Sounds poetic, doesn’t it? FB

Thanks again VERY much to RupertGrint.net!

Jonah Hill discusses Tom’s Felton’s cameo in “Get Him To The Greek”

In a recent Q&A session during a pre-screening of “Get Him To the Greek” at the University of Washington, Russell Brand and Jonah Hill answer questions from the audience.

At a little more than a minute into the session, someone asks, “Whose idea was it to get Draco Malfoy in the movie?” and Jonah tells a cute story of meeting Tom on the Harry Potter set:

That actually is a good story. So we were shooting in London for Russell’s… umm, umm… role (laughs), and I got invited to the set of the Harry Potter movie, which is awesome. Because they said they were fans of mine, so I went.

And as it turns out, Tom Felton, who plays Draco Malfoy, was like a huge – Well, turns out, HE was the one that was like a big fan. It wasn’t everybody else who was a big fan. (laughs)

Which is awesome because he’s a great guy. So he was so nice, and we talked for a long time and I got a tour, and at that time we were asking many celebrities – we would ask them to come be in the film, so I was telling the director, I met Tom Felton who plays Draco Malfoy – do you want him in the movie? He was like, “Sure!”

So I called [Tom] and he was totally down. He let us make Harry Potter jokes, he was so awesome. He was great, he was so nice and so funny. It was cool he let us do that.

Here is a video of the Q&A session:

Tom Felton’s upcoming WWII film, “Grace and Danger,” releases first storyboards

Thanks to TeamFelton and the “HeyUGuys” website, we now have the first storyboards from the WWII film starring Tom Felton, “Grace and Danger.”

Tom is set to play Carnaby, an American soldier who is described as a gentleman. In the movie, Carnaby and his fellow soldiers rescue a young woman named Élodie from a village massacre and plan to escort her back to safety. But during the perilous journey, the other soldiers seem to become quite “interested” in the girl, and Carnaby steps in to aid her.

The storyboards were provided to HeyUGuys by Rhys Hayward, who has written the screenplay and will also be directing the film. The storyboards were drawn by Tony Chance who was responsible for storyboarding “American Beauty” and more recently “Moby Dick.”

It’s possible these storyboards visually describe a scene we’ve read about before. What do you think?

Also, the director has uploaded to the Facebook Fan page some additional photos taken during the filming of the development trailer, which was filmed last year to build interest in the film. Though they don’t include the real actors, they give you an idea of the professionalism and atmosphere of the planned film.
