SnitchSeeker’s interview with Tom Felton at the premiere of “In Secret” & other videos

Last week was the premiere of Tom’s film “In Secret” in LA (we reported here). SnitchSeeker interviewed Tom on the red carpet.

Tom Felton: How are you?

SnitchSeeker: Good! How are you?
Tom Felton:
Did you get my tweet?

SnitchSeeker: We did!
Tom:
I wanted to make sure you weren’t getting wet.

SnitchSeeker: I’m sure you’ve heard about J.K. Rowling’s recent reveal that Ron and Hermione shouldn’t have been together. How do you feel about that? Do you agree?
Tom:
Give me the scoop, ‘cause I only saw a bit on the CNN. What is she unveiling? That Harry should have been with Hermione? And Ron got in the way?

SnitchSeeker. No, just that Ron and Hermione weren’t right for each other.
Tom
: I love how she keeps coming out with these little bits of information – tease us to think there’s more to come.

SnitchSeeker: Do you agree?
Tom:
Well, it’s hard to disagree with her. When she makes her point, she’s usually right. We haven’t challenged her in the past, and I think that’s a good trend to keep.

SnitchSeeker: She’s also making a play based on harry Potter’s early life. Have you heard anything about that?
Tom:
No, I haven’t. That’s the first I’ve heard about that. I knew there was a new book that she was writing, I thought …

SnitchSeeker: A screenplay.
Tom:
… a screenplay, sorry. But I hadn’t heard about the play. Is it a musical or?

SnitchSeeker: No.
Tom:
Still … very exciting.

SnitchSeeker: Now, about the movie [Fantastic Beasts] … are you interested in being in it?
Tom Felton:
Of course, if my services were ever asked for how could I possibly turn it down? But it’s not something that I think is likely, and I feel very proud of the work we’ve done. I dare wouldn’t want to taint it by sticking my name in the pot too early for that.

SnitchSeeker: What can you tell us about the new TV series that you’re in?
Tom:
Well, limited ‘cause I only have three scripts out of ten of them. So I’m kind of learning more as we go along. The writers are in silence and refuse to say anything. My character is a Silicon Valley sort of whiz kid that started a Facebook-type company, and he’s a suspect in this murder investigation. Any more, I fear I’ll get in trouble so …

SnitchSeeker: Thank you!
Tom: No worries, guys. Nice to see you. Send my love to the SnitchSeeker crew!

IN SECRET is a tale of obsessive love turned to crime and revenge in the lower depths of 1860s Paris. Therese (Elizabeth Olsen of MARTHA MARCY MAY MARLENE) is a ravishing but sexually repressed young woman trapped into a loveless marriage to her sickly cousin Camille (Tom Felton of the HARRY POTTER franchise) by her domineering aunt Madame Raquin (two-time Oscar®winner Jessica Lange). Now, Therese must spend her days as a virtual shut-in, confined behind the counter of a small shop by day and watching Madame play dominos in the evening. But when she meets her husband’s alluring childhood friend, Laurent (Golden Globe nominee Oscar Isaac of INSIDE LLEWYN DAVIS), everything changes. What begins as a thrillingly illicit, clandestine affair will unravel into a shocking set of tragic circumstances for everyone.

Rounding out the cast of IN SECRET is Shirley Henderson (TRAINSPOTTING), John Kavanagh (HBO’s THE TUDORS) Mackenzie Crook (PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN) and Matt Lucas (BRIDESMAIDS). Directed and written by Charlie Stratton, based on Emile Zola’s scandalous novel “Thérèse Raquin,” the film is produced by Mickey Liddell, Pete Shilaimon and William Horberg.

The CW Network has acquired LABYRINTH, the four-hour event miniseries with a multi-national and award-winning cast, including John Hurt, Sebastian Stan, Jessica Brown-Findlay & Tom Felton, it was announced today by Mark Pedowitz, President, The CW. Premiere night and time will be announced at a later date.

Filmed on-location in the medieval town of Carcassonne in southwest France and Cape Town, South Africa, the historical miniseries jumps back and forth between modern and medieval France as it follows the lives of two women who are separated by centuries, but united in their search for the Holy Grail.

In Carcassonne, France, in the year 1209, 17-year-old Alaïs (Jessica Brown-Findlay, “Downton Abbey,” “Misfits”), is given a mysterious book by her father; a book which he claims contains the secret of the true Grail. Although Alaïs cannot understand the book’s strange words and labyrinth symbols, her father instructs her to protect the book no matter what happens to him. Alaïs realizes that her destiny lies in keeping the secret of the labyrinth safe. Eight centuries later, at an archeological dig in the French Pyrenees, a young volunteer named Alice Tanner (Vanessa Kirby, “The Hour,” “Great Expectations”) discovers two skeletons in a forgotten cave. Puzzled by the labyrinth symbol carved into the rock, she realizes she’s disturbed something that was meant to remain hidden. Somehow, a link to a horrific past – Alice’s own past – has been revealed.

In addition to Brown-Findlay and Kirby, LABYRINTH features a multi-national cast which includes two-time Oscar® nominee, three-time BAFTA Award winner and Golden Globe® winner John Hurt (“Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy,” “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows”), Sebastian Stan (“Captain America: The First Avenger,” “Gossip Girl”), Tom Felton (the “Harry Potter” films, “Rise of the Planet of the Apes”), Oscar®, BAFTA and Golden Globes® nominee Janet Suzman (“Nicholas and Alexandra,” “Midsomer Murders”), multi-award winner Claudia Gerini (“The Passion of the Christ,” “Under the Tuscan Sun”), Katie McGrath (“Merlin,” “Red Mist”), Emun Elliott (“Game of Thrones,” “Black Death”) and Tony Curran (“The Pillars of the Earth,” “The Adventures of Tintin”).

A four-hour event mini-series, LABYRINTH is produced by Tandem Communications (“Crossing Lines,” “World Without End,” “The Pillars of the Earth”) and Film Afrika Worldwide (“Dark Tide,” “Endgame”), in association with Scott Free Films (“The Good Wife, “The Andromeda Strain”) and Universal Production Partners (UPP). The series is an adaption of Kate Mosse’s New York Times Besteller and multi-million selling international hit novel of the same title by award-winning writer Adrian Hodges (“Primeval,” “My Week with Marilyn”). Producing for Tandem is Moritz Polter (“Crossing Lines,” “The Lost Future”). LABYRINTH is directed by Christopher Smith (“Black Death,” “Triangle”).
