Tom Felton Talks With E!Online About The End Of Harry Potter

At Sunday’s MTV Movie awards, Marc Malkin, from E! Online caught up with Tom Felton to talk about how sad the end of Harry Potter will be, and moving on to other projects.

If only there was a spell to make the end of Harry Potter not feel so bad.

Potter star Tom Felton admits next month’s release of the final installment of the wizardy movie franchise, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows Part 2, leaves him with mixed emotions.

“It’s sad,” he told me the other day at the MTV Movie Awards. “It’s bittersweet because we’re ending on such a high note but at the same time, it’s the end. It’s going be a very sad, but a very happy day when [the last movie] comes out.”

But is there any—even the slightest—chance there could be another Potter movie down the road?

“I very much doubt it,” Felton said. “The biggest chance of it is like in 20 years time and they remake the movies. I’ll play one of the old guys. I really don’t think [J.K. Rowling] will write anymore books.”

Next up for Felton is Rise of the Planet of the Apes with James Franco and Freida Pinto. “We have a little bit of a scrimmage,” Felton said of playing a villain to Franco’s good guy scientist. “We’re not friends, put it that way.

“But he was a lovely guy in real life,” he said. “I bored him for hours with questions about Freaks and Geeks.”

No word if Felton got an early listen of Franco’s latest project, making music with drag queen/performance artist Kalup Linzy.
