Tom Felton reveals much-anticipated details about his “grime rap” album
Here it is, folks! More details on Tom’s upcoming “grime rap” career!
You may have read it in The Sun earlier this week – it was big news around the world, covered in dozens of newspapers and online blogs!
Here it is as “reported” in The Sun:
Tom, who has clinched a recording deal with an independent label, revealed: “I was thinking of doing some N-Dubz-style stuff. I am looking to get into the grime rap UK scene.
“I’m going to change my image – backward caps, the lot.” He cited Dappy out of N-Dubz as his inspiration but said: “It’s still under wraps so I can’t really talk about it.”
The Sun even titled the article, “Snoop Hoggy Hogwarts.”
(You should have seen the behind-the-scenes chatting going back and forth between the Feltbeats.com admins. “Don’t post that rap crap story. Wait til he denounces it!” LOL!)
So, you can imagine our utter shock and surprise when Tom denounced that report the next day, saying to the Hollywood Reporter:
“Apparently I’m going to take the I’m UK grime scene by storm. I have no idea what they’re talking about,” Felton told reporters at the NYC premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 Monday night.
But now Felton says, “I can only think that it was an attempt at dry wit that went completely over their head. I don’t know. Needless to say, I’m not planning on taking the UK grime scene by storm.”
And, today on his Twitter account, Tom even took his negation of the story to a new level, publicly poking fun at The Sun (we might even say mocking them a bit!) by posting this tweet:
yo @thesunnewspaper here’s the cover of my new rap album…snoop hoggy hogwarts lol
Along with this photograph, below. Alas, if light blue plaid trousers and loafers are the closest thing he can manage to N-Dubz-style stuff, I think his grime rap career is already in jeopardy! 🙁
Oh, and lastly, the Hollywood Reporter also asked Tom:
But if he were to begin rapping, would his rap name be?
“I have no idea. That’s a good question, I’ll think about it,” he quipped.
Duh! It’s Feltbeats! LOL! Obviously.
