In a recent interview with New Zealand website www.stuff.co.nz, Tom Felton discusses why he doesn’t consider himself a heartthrob and why he goes out of his way to look nice for his fans.
Tom Felton says “looking nice” is the least he can do for his fans.
The 23-year-old actor is best known for playing evil character Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter movie franchise about life at a school for witches and wizards.
Handsome Tom has built up a massive fan base during his time on the movie franchise, which will end for good later this year when Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 is released.
The British star appreciates how many adoring female fans he has, so he always makes an effort to look good for them.
“I’m amazed by the support I get on Twitter and websites. The fans are so supportive, so I can only do my best to look nice at events,” he blushed.
Although he makes an effort to look dapper, Tom can’t quite comprehend the notion that he’s a dreamboat for many young ladies. Tom doesn’t see himself that way and would rather leave hunks such as fellow Brit Robert Pattinson to fit that bill.
“That’s a word I don’t understand,” he laughed in response to claims he’s a heartthrob.

As we reported previously, Feltbeats.com is holding a charity fundraiser for “Zimbabwe’s Forgotten Children”, in celebration of Tom Felton’s 10 years playing Bad Boy Slytherin Draco Malfoy. On January 5th, we will be drawing names to win a special Feltbeats.com prize pack. Here’s more info from the filmakers about this worthwhile cause:
Since making the film Zimbabwe’s Forgotten Children – we have been able to help the children featured. But they are among many thousands of children in desperate need of an EDUCATION. For £2.50 per month or £30.00 per year you can pay for a child’s school fees for an entire year in Zimbabwe.
Tom has put out the plea for fans of his to help take these children out of the work force and into the classroom. This is where you come in.
Each month, we will be collecting donations at http://www.justgiving.com/dracosgift . Just Giving is a non-profit agency that collects donations and submits them directly to the charity every 25 days. On the 5th of each month, Feltbeats.com will draw names from the doners the previous month to win special Feltbeats.com related goodies, culminating with the final draw on Draco Malfoy’s 31st Birthday! In July, Feltbeats.com members will be in London presenting a celebratory check to the Zimbabwechildren.orgs offices listing the total raised for this life changing charity. No donation is too big or too small. Help us change the lives of these wonderful children by providing an education! Thank you!
Of course, we’re not sure of the details, but we wanted to bring to your attention this interesting conversation between Tom Felton and Fearne Cotton, a British television and radio presenter.
On New Year’s Day Fearne tweeted:
Fearne Cotton: Very loose memories of embracing tom felton from harry potter like a long lost brother last night. Is he on twitter? May need to apologise.
Later, Tom replied:
Tom Felton: @Fearnecotton i am on twitter & that did happen LOL no need for the apologies… i can be ur long lost brother on new years of all nights!
Hmm, sounds like a fun New Year’s Eve party!
