It is a two part documentary and starts at 9pm on Channel 5 on Monday 29th and concludes the following week.

Are these kids “Too Tough To Teach?” Channel 5′s new documentary narrated by Earache’s Tom Felton has exclusive access to a school for boys with severe behavioural problems.
When boys arrive at Ian Mikardo School, they are aggressive, disaffected and at risk of ending up in custody. The school is the very end of the line for the toughest kids in East London – the boys that end up here have been permanently expelled from mainstream school with no possibility of returning.
Now, for the first time ever, this extraordinary institution will open its doors with a chance to look beyond the boys’ hard exteriors to reveal their lives, their families and the dedicated teachers who refuse to give up on them.
In a school where every child has special educational needs, we will see the challenges that the teachers have to face daily and the unusual lessons that are taught to the boys.
In this intimate portrayal of a school unlike any other, “Too Tough To Teach?” will follow the stories of a number of boys and their daily battle to release their potential.
