Tom Felton’s Draco Malfoy to feature on new US Harry Potter postage stamp

Great news from The Wizarding World of Harry Potter today! A picture of Tom as Draco Malfoy in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince will feature on a new set of stamps, created by the United States Postal Service.

“The magical world created by J.K. Rowling and brought to life over the course of eight films continues to captivate audiences around the world. We are proud to partner with the U.S. Postal Service to offer fans such a unique and historic way to engage with the beloved characters, creatures and adventures in the series,” said Brad Globe, president of Warner Bros. Consumer Products.

“The U.S. Postal Service is proud to issue the Harry Potter limited-edition Forever stamp collection,” said Postal Service Board of Governors Chairman Mickey Barnett. “From improbable heroes and magical creatures to schoolroom antics and daring battles, the majestic Harry Potter stamps will inspire fans of all ages.”

“We are delighted to work with Warner Bros. on the release of these stamps,” said Postal Service Chief Marketing and Sales Officer Nagisa Manabe. “This has been an excellent partnership as we celebrate this fantastic movie franchise.”

The stamps, which feature many Harry Potter characters, and the Hogwarts School wax seal, go on sale today online at usps.com/stamps, at the Postal Store on eBay at
ebay.com/stamps, or by calling 800-STAMP24 (800-782-6724).

Tom Felton’s movie ‘Therese’ now titled ‘In Secret’ – new release date 21st February 2014

Deadline announced that Roadside Attractions has changed the title of Tom’s film “Therese” .
The film now called In Secret” and the new release date is 21st February 2014.

Roadside Attractions has made some moves on Therese, the film it acquired at Toronto. The film has been retitled In Secret, and has been set for February 21 release. The romantic thriller stars Elizabeth Olsen, Oscar Isaac, Tom Felton and Jessica Lange and is based on Emile Zola’s scandalous novel Thérèse Raquin. LD Entertainment financed it and Roadside made the deal just before the film’s Toronto premiere. Charlie Stratton made his directing debut, and Mickey Liddell, Pete Shilaimon and William Horberg produced. Set in 1860s Paris, pic is a tale of obsessive love, adultery and revenge. Therese (Olsen) is a sexually repressed beautiful young woman trapped into a loveless marriage to her sickly cousin, Camille (Tom Felton), by her domineering aunt, Madame Raquin (Lange). Her husband’s friend (Isaac) catches her eye and things go all kinds of wrong from there.

Tom Felton is internationally recognized as Draco Malfoy, the ultimate bully and Harry Potter’s rival, in the successful Harry Potter film franchise. His acting career started when he was only 8 years old, initially for commercials, but eventually landing small roles for television, like Bugs and Home Farm Twins, but also feature films like the Borrowers (1997) and Anna and the King (1999). For a full decade, (2001 to 2011) Felton would have his hair and eyebrows dyed at least once a week while he was on set to play the part of Draco in all eight Harry Potter movies.

In between Potter films, he’s had the chance to film a few independent horror movies including The Disappeared (2008), 13Hrs (2010), and The Apparition (2011). Since Potter rapped, he’s kept busy acting in a variety of films including Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2012), and has had two films premiere at the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival, Therese (2013) opposite Elizabeth Olsen (who was recently cast as the Scarlet Witch for Avengers: The Age of Ultron) and Belle (2013) alongside Tom Wilkinson. He recently filmed Fangs of War, a Nazi vampire movie, directed by Canadian filmmaker Jim Donovan, which also stars Christopher Walken and Michael Madsen and will be a one of the main cast in Steven Bochco’s latest detective drama series, Murder in the First, which TNT has ordered 10 episodes to air for summer 2014.
