Tom Felton is NOT coming to Fan Expo Vancouver and Calgary Expo

Sadly Tom Felton is not able to attend Fan Expo Vancouver and Calgary Expo. Both conventions announced the cancellation of Tom today.

It’s with heavy hearts we have bad news for our Potterheads – as we announce Tom Felton will not be attending Fan Expo Vancouver due to another schedule conflict. Just like you, the teams for Fan Expo Vancouver & our friends behind Calgary Expo were all looking forward to those Malfoy stories too. This is the nature of the ever-changing fan convention life and we are working on lot of other parts of the show to make this second year in Vancouver bigger and better!

Beloved actor, Richard Griffiths, dies at 65

Feltbeats.com is saddened to hear of the passing of Richard Griffiths due to complications from heart surgery. We send our condolences to his family and friends.

Although it was by far not his only work, Potter fans will fondly remember him for bringing Harry’s uncle, Vernon Dursley, to life onscreen. He also starred with Daniel Radcliffe on stage in “Equus” in both the West End production in London, and the Broadway production in New York.

According to BBC news, Daniel Radcliffe was among the first to pay tribute, saying: “Richard was by my side during two of the most important moments of my career. I was proud to know him.”

I was lucky enough to meet Mr. Griffiths after a performance of “Equus” in New York in 2008. He was a lovely, funny gentleman, and our world is less talented without him in it.

Tom Felton’s “Labyrinth” this weekend on Channel 4 in the UK

As we mentioned here last week, Tom’s TV mini-series “Labyrinth” will be aired this weekend on Channel 4 in the UK.

Labyrinth part 2 – Sunday, 31st March 2013 – 9 pm (Channel 4)

I just met Tom Felton…
He was in line for food right infront of me. TOM FREAKIN FELTON WAS ORDERING IN FRONT OF ME. I STOOD IN LINE BY HIM.

HE TOLD ME THAT HE’D LOVE TO HUG ME BUT THERE WAS A STRICT NO HUGGING POLICY…

Ok so random ass moment when you are in conversation with Tom Felton and you get a tap on your arm. You look over and there is Henry Winkler asking is it alright to jump in front of you for a few moments so he can meet Tom Felton. And you get to pretty much just listen to them converse for a minute about how Henry’s grandson has met Tom a while ago.

I couldn’t say no to the Fonz ok…

Got into a conversation about The Borrowers with Tom yesterday. Firstly he seemed a little excited about it being a VHS. Cause he looked at it and took the tape out and looked at the guy next to him(WizardWorld guy) and is like, “It’s a VHS!” looked back at me, “And its one stolen from a movie place.” Has a sticker on tape saying be kind, rewind.
Then from there I told him I am giving him a break from Harry Potter, but it ended up kinda being about that. Cause I pointed out the irony with that movie. He was pretty mind blown to realize John Goodmans character was named Potter. Hey I was too…and the whole thing of Peagreens father being Jim Broadbent who played Professor Horace Slughorn and Mark Williams role in the movie. It was fun conversation and he seemed excited to get to sign “Peagreen”…
We talked a little about our lovely STL spring weather. Says its warmer then London but I think he spoke too soon. Because today we have a huge snow fall…lol.
In all honesty I did not expect him be so nice.
