Tom Felton Remarks on Draco as Therapy and the “Deathly Hallows” Split with The Press Association

In the latest little snidbit of Tom’s interview  with the Press Association, Tom remarks on the splitting of the final two “Harry Potter” films and his future need to seek a therapist.

The Harry Potter cast haven’t been told where the split will come and the final story divided into two movies.

Actor Tom Felton, who plays Draco Malfoy, says despite the shoot now coming to an end, nobody has been told exactly where the break will happen.

“We don’t know where the cut’s going to be. Everyone keeps asking us ‘where is the cut?’ but they’ve shot it kind of all as one and I think they’re going to wait and see whatever feels right,” he explained.

He added: “I’m very excited to see what comes out of it!”

The young star says it did come as a relief to the cast when they first learned that filmmakers weren’t going to try and cram the book’s big ending into one film.

“It was nothing but a sigh of relief for us as there was so much in the book we thought ‘oh my God, they’re going to cut characters out, they’ll leave bits out’.

“It’s the most important chapter of the whole story really so it was important to go into it in as much detail as possible so we were all thrilled about it,” he said.

Tom admitted he had mixed feelings about finally saying goodbye to his character Draco.

“I kind of use him as therapy in a way. I get to build up these angers and frustrations and then vent it through this evil little Hitler child. Without it I may have to go to therapy – maybe it’s time to vent that way!” he laughed.

Tom Felton: Working with some of Britain’s finest actors had been a privilege

The Press Association has published another small interview with Tom Felton, in which he talks about Ralph Fiennes and Jason Isaacs. He also told that the fans can expect some “horrifically evil speeches” in “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows”.

Harry Potter fans can look forward to some “horrifically evil speeches” from Ralph Fiennes as Lord Voldemort when The Deathly Hallows comes to the big screen.

Tom Felton who plays Draco Malfoy has revealed that we can expect “some great stuff” from the Harry Potter villain.

He said: “I’ve never worked with Ralph one-on-one [until recently], Alan Rickman was there and several dark presences so it was very daunting and there are some horrifically evil speeches. There’s a lot to look forward to, definitely.”

The actor said working with some of Britain’s finest actors had been a privilege.

“There are some scenes where literally three of the four people there have been knighted which is bizarre,” he laughed.

“There are a few times when you’ve got to pinch yourself to stay in character, you learn stuff from them without even realising it I think. It’s a huge honour” he said.

Despite filming now being over, Tom said he’d definitely be keeping in touch with his on-screen dad Jason Isaacs who plays Lucius Malfoy.

“Jason is a legend. He is like another father to me in the acting world, he’s keen to hear about future projects and he’s kind of been one of the adults who has never been afraid to say ‘why don’t you try this, why don’t you try that’ and as far as being a young actor goes he’s been extremely helpful so I have a lot to thank Jason for definitely,” he said.

Tom Felton: I’m sure it’s not the last time we’ve seen the Harry Potter studios

In this interview, Tom Felton discusses the end of Harry Potter and what it was like during the final days of filming. While many expected a big emotional last day, Tom says it was rather terse. The big party is planned for the release of the final film in 2011.

Harry Potter actor Tom Felton says it “hasn’t sunk in yet” that the cast has finished making the movies.

The actor, who plays Draco Malfoy, said his last day of shooting for the final films hadn’t been sad but instead was “weird”.

“I was expecting this big emotional breakdown but instead the first AD (assistant director) got out the microphone and listed the names of people who it was their last day and forced the crew for a ripple of applause and then we walked off and that was it,” Tom revealed.

“The reason why it perhaps hasn’t sunk in yet is because we always feel like we’re going to be asked back for something or other, I’m sure it’s not the last time we’ve seen those studios,” he laughed.

The young actor said when the final film comes out in 2011, the cast are set to have the mother of all celebrations. He said: “We have to don’t we? Rumours are that there is going to be a mammoth party. I’m very excited for that, hopefully we’ll get a chance to say our farewells and hug everyone goodbye.”

Tom also discussed the new Harry Potter theme park in Orlando, which opens in about a week and which many Feltbeats fans – and Tom Felton himself – plan to attend.

Tom hopes the franchise’s new theme park – The Wizarding World Of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Orlando – will help with the cast’s “withdrawal symptoms”.

“It’s good for us because if we ever have withdrawal symptoms we can just walk around the park and be like, ‘yeah we’re back!'” the actor joked.

The park gets its grand opening on June 18, and Tom plans to be first in line.

“I’m a theme park junkie so to be immortalised in a theme park is a dream come true!” he said.
