Tom Felton takes part in The Great Twitter Portrait Project

Earlier today (okay, 30 minutes from when I’m writing this, but still) photographer Chris Floyd tweeted:

Yesterday I photographed @tomfelton for #portwit. He went to the same comp I would have gone to if I hadn’t gone to a 4th rate public school

A minute later, Mr. Felton replied:

@chrisfloyduk was nice meeting you. Looking forward to the piece. See you in G town for you annual trip back? All the best x

The hashtag #portwit is short for The Great Twitter Portrait Project Chris Floyd has undertaken. According to his website:

Those of you who follow me on Twitter may know about my plan to photograph as many followers/followees as I can over the next few weeks.

In my life now, I have Twitter and it seems to have taken the place of all that sliding around town. I have the little Tweetie thing open on my screen and as I sit at home doing all this stuff I have one eye on that. It has become like taking part in a virtual grown up school classroom while the teacher’s been called out to speak to the deputy head. But instead of it being like Facebook, which I’m not on and which seems to just be all the people you went to school with, Twitter is like all the people you wish you’d gone to school with and I thought it would be interesting to try and actually bring them together, rather than virtually bring them together. What if I tried to bring a whole load of people who only exist inside an application window on a computer screen into my actual world? This is what I’ve been doing the last 3 days and it’s been a real ride. Tying to shoot video of them, photograph them, live tweet the results whilst continuously reminding Twitter of the invite to come down to London W10 and be a part of it and then manage the reactions and find time to fit everyone into convenient time slots has been the fun part of it.

In virtualand there isn’t really any meaningful space or time. You can come and go and still collide with people when you need to. In actualand if you want everyone there at 10am on Monday then it’s got to be 10am on Monday, as simple as. Getting specific groups together for this project has been the difficult part but I’ve found that if I plead with them enough they can bend their space & time to fit the needs of the group.

If you are interested and would like to take part then Tweet me @chrisfloyduk

Mr. Floyd has since announced that Tom’s portrait should be online tomorrow. As soon as it is made availabe, we will let you know.

@lilyginny27 Will try and “get it up” tomorrow. The @tomfelton #portwit that is….. #seriousfanpressure

Aw, I’m serious fan pressure. 😉

Tom Felton should get paid for this.

It seems the Digital Spy likes to name drop just as much as Tom does (I’m teasing you, Tom. Shush). But it also seems that the good karma Tom has wished Ryan Air is coming their way in the form of free, good publicity.

Tom Felton has publicly thanked Ryanair for returning his iPad after he left it on one of their planes.

The Harry Potter star praised the airline’s staff on his Twitter page this afternoon.

“Dear Ryan air. I would like to take my hat off to your lost and found department.I left my iPad one of your planes and you returned it to me (sic),” he wrote.

“Such a relief! Good karma coming your way! xxx”

Felton had previously expressed his delight at owning the iPad, calling it “beautiful” and “lovely to look at”.

The actor, who recently completed filming his role as Draco Malfoy in Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows, has admitted that he will miss the franchise.

Good on you, Tom. Here’s hoping the good karma can be paid forward.

Tom Felton is beaten by a Weasley. Not that Weasley, the other one. Okay, technically both.

Earlier this week, Tom tantalizingly tweeted about an epic golf game he had scheduled with “Harry Potter” co-stars Rupert Grint, James Phelps, and Oliver Phelps for this Monday and Tuesday.  Thankfully Tom’s been channeling his own inner-Weasley the entire time and has been joking about the rivalry his Slytherin self has with the red-headed Gryffindor family.

Have a very important round of golf Mon/tue against a certain pair of red headed twins and their little brother. Your going down weasleys x

@TomFelton GO SLYTHERIN. /via @xodani My thoughts exactly x

New Photo of Tom Felton in the recording studio

Remember last week when Tom tweeted a photo of his new place to hang out and record music? Just today he gave us another one, this time via his latest Twitter avatar.

The Not Pink Studio: “I’m going for hardcore goth thrash metal this year! It’s a really soothing sound x”

Check out this past interview Tom gave exclusively to Feltbeats.com to learn exactly what Tom’s history with pink recording studios is, and why he’ll never live it down. 😉
