Much Music Blog Credits Tom Felton’s Musical Talents

In anticipation for Tom Felton’s appearance on “Much On Demand,” Much Music’s Kate M. [who also blogged about Tom Felton appearing on “MOD”], wrote about how eager she was for both the new “Harry Potter” flick and Tom Felton to finally arrive in Canada. In the post, she comments about several members of the “Harry Potter” cast. Here’s what she had to say about Tom Felton’s and his musical ability:

Tom Felton sings! And he isn’t the worst at it! His songs are actually rather adorable and sweet. Who would have thought the evil boy had it in him?

She links to two of Tom Felton’s youtube videos: Time Well Spent Medley and If You Could Be Anywhere.

If you are able to watch “Much On Demand,” be sure to catch it at 5PM EST on July 8th. Yes! that IS two days away!

As always, if you can record and/or upload the video please email us at Feltbeats: Feltbeats@feltbeats.com or misha@feltbeats.com.

Plenty More Malfoy: Moviefone interviews Tom Felton

In an article titled 15 Things to Know About ‘Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince’ conducted by Moviefone, number three was dedicated to the character of Draco Malfoy.

Tom Felton and Moviefone had this to say about HBP having “Plenty More Malfoy”:

3. Plenty More Malfoy
One character who gets a much more developed role in ‘Half-Blood Prince’ is Harry’s Hogwarts rival, Draco Malfoy, who in this film receives direct orders from Lord Voldemort. Bad for Harry, good for Tom Felton, the actor behind Malfoy. “It’s really nice to take him to a higher level, rather than just being an annoying git at the back of the classroom,” Felton says. “It’s really nice that he’s grown, he was quite a two-dimensional character in the previous films.” He’s also got a girlfriend in this installment, Pansy Parkinson (Scarlett Byrne). Felton’s favorite scene this go-around? “To be able to stand on [Harry’s] nose has been a lifelong dream.”

The interview also included a fun fact about actor Jim Broadbent, who plays the new Potions master Horace Slughorn.

Fun fact: Broadbent played Tom Felton’s father in the young actor’s first film, ‘The Borrowers.’
