Travel Advise Twitter-style: Tom Felton on Twitter-wood

Once again Tom’s tweets have made it into MTV Movie Blogs Twitter-wood, and this time they featured a conversation between Tom and fellow Harry Potter star Warwick Davis.

In what MTV dubbed “Tokyo pt 1,” they published Tom’s tweet about arriving in Tokyo for his final evening in the city.

Just got off the bullet train, we’re back in Tokyo! 1 more night then home. Bet to make the most of tonight! Any ideas?x

Approximately 15 minutes later, the man behind Professor Flitwick put in his two knuts of an idea with “Tokyo pt 2.”

@TomFelton Check out the ‘Cantina’, a ‘Star Wars’ themed bar/shop. Very cool place.

Tom, in a later tweet, went on to call his co-star “a gentleman and an incredibly funny one at that! His tweets are already cracking me up! Very kind man.” And so right Tom is, but the recommendations on how he should spend his last night in town didn’t end there. Another celebrity got in on the act, and that was celebrity gossip Perez Hilton.

@TomFelton I’m having dinner with Lisa and Jess from The Veronicas in a bit in. U and ur gf should join us! Ha

Unfortunately, Tom didn’t see the tweet in time and had to send his regards instead.

@PerezHilton sorry just read your invite! My gf crashed out soon as we got to the hotel, would love to have a drink nxt time I’m in LA x

Perez Hilton went on to tease Tom with a twitpic of what he was missing out on while he was letting loose with the girls in Tokyo. But alas, our poor boy was wrung out from a whirl-wind tour of Japan, and within only a couple hours, he was off for the night.

Tom will be leaving Japan at some point today to return to London. He is scheduled to resume work on his latest films, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 and Part 2 on Wednesday.

Warwick Davis talks Tom Felton on his Website

For all of you that follow Tom on Twitter, you’ll remember that he posted about fellow Harry Potter actor Warwick Davis starting his own Twitter account there. Mr. Davis plays Professor Flitwick in the series, and has even taken over the role of Griphook.

Mr. Davis is just as engaged with his tweeters as Tom is, and he quite graciously agreed this morning to letting us here at Feltbeats.com share a photo Warwick had taken with Tom at the after party of the New York premiere of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

From Warwickdavis.co.uk:

After the film, we were escorted to the magical white Audi for the journey to New York’s Museum of Natural History for the after premiere party. One of the museum exhibit areas had been themed to represent ‘Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes’ from the 6th film. As usual at a ‘Potter’ premiere, there were large amounts of sweet treats to tempt the post movie goers. With my sugar level at maximum after my chocolate raisins binge, I decided to give them a miss.

Outside, there was a scale replica of a Quidditch pitch, complete with projection of footage of the training session from the film. It is here we bumped into Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy). He’s such a nice chap. I first knew him when he was shorter than me for ‘Flitwick’s Charms Class’ back in 2001.

Thanks for letting us share this with Felton Fans, Mr. Davis!

For those of you who aren’t following him as of yet, you can do so here at WarwickADavis on Twitter.

It’s Entertainment (Weekly) all around! Tom Felton in print & online

Entertainment Weekly has upped its Potter quotient with features both in print and on EW.com. First is a photo from this weeks magazine version featuring an image of Tom as Draco manipped onto a different background with fellow co-stars Emma Watson, Michael Gambon, and Daniel Radcliffe. As you can see, they think he’s “grown into a fine actor.” Thanks to Feltbeats Army member Stormlite02 for twitpic-ing it for us!

This next one was featured on EW.com in an article entitled Harry Potter: 10 Teen Movie Parallels. EW.com took 10 various HP characters and circumstances and related them to other famous films including The Dead Poets Society, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Clueless and one of my (personal) all time favorites, Better off Dead. You can read all about the rest of the parallels by clicking here.

EW2

You can read EW.com’s review of the film (they gave it an A-) as well as watch a video discussion of the film by clicking here. One reviewer called it “Star Wars as written by Dickens.” What do you think?

New poster featuring Tom Felton in Tribute Magazine

A new Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince poster featuring Tom with the “bad guys” is in this month’s Tribute Magazine out of Canada. Also included is a large feature on the entire Harry Potter series including synopsies of the all the films up to date, a list of characters, interviews with some of the cast, and a poster of the “good guys.” You can download the entire issue in .pdf format by clicking here.

I would recommend checking out the crossword puzzle on page 34. I don’t believe I need to tell you what the answer to 4 Down is. 😉
