(UPDATE) Tom Felton, Daniel Radcliffe, & Matt Lewis Participate in Cricket Match Held in Honor of Friend David Holmes

UPDATE: A clearer photo from this event has recently been placed online. It has also been stated that besides Tom, Dan, and Matt, Alfie Enoch, Bonnie Wright, and Evanna Lynch were also in attendance for the game. Thanks, Chris!

Cast and crew of the Harry Potter films participated in a cricket match today at Ealing Cricket Club in honor of David Holmes, the stuntman seriously injured in January while filming a harnessed aerial sequence for the final installment of the film franchise, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. The event was not open to the public.

According to Matthew Lewis’ Twitter:

A well deserved win in the cricket today for Team Gryffindor. Thanks to Team Slytherin for playing us. We won by 4 wickets.

Good play, both teams, as they both won, in my books, by raising over £10,000 for charity! [That’s US$ 16,504! and, incidentally, almost covers my tuition.]

We also raised over £10,000 for charity 😀 now I’ve gotta go to sleep, g’nite! X

CONGRATS TO BOTH OF THE TEAMS. And sweet dreams, Matt.

UPDATE A Light in the Dark: New Studio Photos of Tom Felton from “Half-Blood Prince”

UPDATE: Higher Quality versions have now been found, including a brand new one we’ve never seen!

New studio character photos of Tom from the promotional extravaganza that is Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince have recently been released. We’ve seen the bottom image manipulated into various graphics, but not the top two (to my knowledge). You can see other photos from this same photo shoot here in our galleries.

A Humble Tom Felton Interviewed in BRAVO Magazine

A small interview with Tom Felton has appeared in Germany’s BRAVO Magazine. Thanks to Trixi for pointing it out to us, and Feltbeats.com Reporter Estrella89san for the translation. To read the article in its original German, click here.

His two faces!

Absolutely bad or fully nice? BRAVO explains to you how “Harry Potter” star Tom Felton ticks!

He is the absolute villain! As Draco Malfoy, he made Harry Potter’s life in Hogwarts hell. However, in real life Tom Felton (21) is not bad at all: “I would describe myself as friendly, polite and charming,” says the actor about himself. But the “Potter” fans often do not recognize this: “If fans visit us on set, and I arrive, they get empty faces and don’t want to even shake my hand,” he laughs. “But I see this as a compliment.” For years Tom was afraid, by the way, of getting a girlfriend because of his role as bad Draco: “I thought really, this has destroyed all my chances.” But he was wrong. He found love – and precisely on the “Potter” set: Stunt Secretary Jade Gordon (22). “Now we are since 16 months together.” And together with his girlfriend he goes out for pleasure with one of his best friends – Daniel Radcliffe (20), even though they hate each other like the plague in the films …

A moment in time: Tom Felton mentioned in “Deathly Hallows” set report

Some fans of the Harry Potter series were recently allowed to take a tour of the set for Deathly Hallows, currently in production. Chris and Maria graciously wrote up their entire experience on set, and you can read about their visit in its entirety by clicking here. Included are various shops, store rooms, and sets they passed by, scenes being filmed, stunt work, and even lunchtime in the canteen.

For those of you wondering what Tom’s been doing on set (besides getting his hair dyed for the ninth time) here is a sneak peek in a-day-in-the-life fashion.

The first thing we saw was the Room of Requirement, similar to what we saw in Half Blood Prince. Stacks upon stacks of furniture, books, potions and whatnot (including several chess pieces from Philosopher’s Stone) were everywhere. Here we got to see a bit of filming that involved the stunt doubles for Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) and Louis Cordice (Blaise Zabini). They were perched atop one of the stacks of furniture and rigged into a harness. Just to the right of these guys, but not used in this scene, was Hagrid/Sirius’ flying motorbike mounted on a rig and lifted off the ground.

When they cut, we slipped into the set and skirted around the edge. Around the corner from the stunt doubles and through the gap between two stacks of stuff was Tom Felton and Louis Cordice. We got to watch the playback monitors for the scene they had just shot. One of the monitors shows the actors exchanging dialog, while the other was an overhead shot of them walking through the stacks.

Thanks to Chris and Maria for sharing their experience with us!
