Videos & Photos of Tom Felton at the ‘16th David Holmes Charity Cricket Cup’

Yesterday, Tom Felton and Alfie Enoch participated in “David Holmes 16th Charity Cricket Cup” at Ealing Cricket Club.

The match can be rewatched on YouTube.

The David Holmes Cricket Cup began in the summer of 2009 to raise money for the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (RNOH). Since then, each summer, the event has been hosted for David’s family and friends, where the two teams, Gryffindor and Slytherin, have battled it out for the trophy and continued to raise money for the RNOH.

World Premiere of Hansal Mehta’s “Gandhi” with Tom Felton at Toronto International Film Festival

Hansal Mehta’s Gandhi with Tom Felton (we reported here) has been announced for the
Toronto International Film Festival.
The 50th edition of the Toronto International Film Festival, presented by Rogers, will take place from 4th to 14th September 2025.

The World Premiere of ‘Gandhi‘ will be at TIFF on 6th September 2025.

Showtimes – All times are in Eastern Daylight Time (EDT):
Saturday, September 6 – 11:00 AM – TIFF Lightbox
Sunday, September 7 – 5:30 PM – Scotiabank Theatre Toronto (Press & Industry)
Saturday, September 13 – 4:45 PM – Scotiabank Theatre Toronto

This sweeping, cinematic series from director Hansal Mehta depicts the formative years and legal career of civil rights icon and champion of Indian independence, Mohandas “Mahatma” Gandhi.
Depictions of Mahatma Gandhi have mostly been on film, notably Richard Attenborough’s Oscar-winning 1982 biopic. But when watching Peter Morgan’s The Crown, creators Hansal Mehta and Sameer Nair saw the potential in adapting the civil rights leader’s story into an epic small-screen series.
In season one, we meet Mohandas Gandhi (Pratik Gandhi, no relation) before he was Mahatma as a young man in India. He is already married and expecting a first child with his love Kasturba (Bhamini Oza Gandhi, married in real life to her fellow lead). Gandhi dreams of pursuing his passion for law in distant London. After some gentle persuasion by Kasturba, the wider family agrees to support Gandhi and send him on his way, expecting his law bona fides to pave the way for a life in local politics. Yet as Gandhi experiences life in London, meeting a like-minded fellow vegetarian, Josiah Oldfield (Tom Felton, the Harry Potter franchise), and growing into a deeper understanding of his own ethics, the young barrister begins to see a greater struggle ahead for him… and for India.
Based on the books Gandhi Before India and Gandhi: The Years That Changed the World by Ramachandra Guha, this series brings to life the full humanity of the man who would become a global symbol of resilience. Featuring a stirring score from Oscar-winning composer A.R. Rahman (Slumdog Millionaire), an impressive international cast, and detailed renderings of late 19th–century India, London, and South Africa, Gandhi spotlights a young man whose self-discovery and curiosity about the world would lead him to forever change it.

BTW, during an exclusive interview with Filmfare, Pratik Gandhi, who is playing the lead role in the project, opened up about Tom Felton’s love for desi meal ‘khichdi’ on the sets.

While speaking to us, Pratik shared memories from working with Tom. He said, “I introduced him to khichdi. We often ate together on set. Our caterer was Indian, so we had quite a few traditional dishes. We even had pani puri there.” Indian Potter fans would be happy to know that Tom Felton is also a fan of pani puri. “He was really enthusiastic about trying it. Actually, it wasn’t just Tom, many of the local actors were fascinated by pani puri. We had a lot of fun with it,” Pratik added.
Speaking about Tom’s genuine personality, Pratik shared some heartwarming facts about the actor. “He’s a brilliant man, very passionate about the craft. We connected quite a bit over our shared love for theatre,” he said. It is no surprise that Tom joined the Broadway rendition of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, as Pratik noted that the star is quite a theatre person. “He actively works in plays, and in fact, while we were shooting Gandhi, he was also preparing for a production in London,” he added.
