Tom Felton Inspires International Music Effort

Feltbeats.com was founded because of Tom Felton’s music. As a result, we have many members inspired to play guitar or pursue other musical interests because of Tom, and we’re darned proud of that.

Last summer, several Feltbeats.com forum members decided to get together and start a musical collaboration, aptly named the “Feltbeats Addicts Band,” also known as FAB.

It started casually enough, but quickly grew. Their first effort, affectionately called “TTS”, short for the Twittering Tom Song, was released in September in honor of Tom Felton’s twenty-second birthday. But that was just the beginning. The group now has several songs completed, with more projects underway.

There are six band leaders: stormlite02 (moderator, auditions), snatalia (editor), irooloo (videographer, composer), amaren88 (artwork), shanajaca (lyrics), and krobertson24 (composer), who merge the tracks to put together the finished product.

Great job, ladies! I’m sure Tom will love to know that he inspired you. We look forward to the day when you might be able to create music together in real-time. For now, it’s wonderful how technology, and the inspiration of Tom Felton, can bring together a group from multiple countries and languages in a spirit of fun and goodwill.

Currently, the band has members in Belgium, Germany, Greece, Scotland, England, US, China and others.

The FAB website, with links to their songs, can be found at:

Earlier today, Tom Felton tweeted that he’d updated his ReverbNation profile, his new page dedicated to his music that we told you about yesterday [you know, he posted that one new song on it… what was it called? Let’s Take It Back!]. Little did we know that it was a new Kai Z. Feng picture he’d added to his gallery! If you haven’t already seen it, it’s available either on Tom’s ReverbNation page or in our Gallery [along with all of his other Kai Z. Feng pictures!] Don’t forget to Become a Fan of Tom Felton’s Music on ReverbNation!

New Interview: Tom Felton Faces The Two Sides of Draco Malfoy

Life Style: Movie Magic Magazine has just released it’s latest issue featuring dozens of pages on Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Included are features on Tom, Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, and Bonnie Wright.

The three page article on the life of Tom Felton includes information about his choir days, his music, his hopes to get out there and fish some more, and why he would love to continue acting.

Some notable quotes from Tom include:

On the comparison of filming and fishing…

“Patience is required heavily in fishing and much the same with the film set. Some days it doesn’t go as fast as you would have hoped or you would have expected. But it’s all about keeping the energy and not only being patient, but just enjoying every minute of it – because sometimes it can be quite easy to slump back if you have an hour or two to wait, and it’s important to make the most of the time with the cast and crew while you’re there.”

On fans confusing him with his character Draco…

“Very early on, some people took very seriously how I was making Harry’s life not pleasant at school and they would plead with me not to pick on him. They seem to associate me with something rather negative which I can only take as a compliment really, I suppose. … I tried to reasure them that nothing was real, and that me and Daniel [Harry] were quite good friends, but it didn’t work.”

And on his hopes for the future…

“I’d love to continue acting. … By the same token, I’m keeping all angles open, really. I’ve been intrigued to do other things. I mean, music has always been a passion of mine, and nature and so forth. I’m not really ruling anything out.”

Other articles feature the actors behind Tom Riddle (aka, Voldie-Mort), producer David Heyman, director David Yates, the designs behind the sets, and the fun and games the fans have at conventions. Also included is a sneak peek into the making of Deathly Hallows which features a lovely interview with Tom’s onscreen dad Jason Isaacs as he recounts begging author JK Rowling to “get me out of [Azkaban] prison.” Life Style: Movie Magic Magazine is available for purchase on news stands through the end of the summer.

What’s old is new again: Random ‘bits of Tom Felton from the Web

Tom with a fan in Paris

As news heats up for the release of Tom’s latest adventure as Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter series, random Tom related goodness from past events and appearances have been fighting their way to the surface.

“Don’t forget about us!” they cried.

Really, how could we resist such a passionate plea?

From Feltbeats Reporter Estrella89san, we have a few videos with this first one dating back to 2004. Since neither of us had ever seen it, we thought you may not have, too.

The next two videos are quite a bit more recent than our young and impressionable Tom of above. First up is a short video from Paris from Reuters.

This next one comes to us from Daily Motion, and I find it quite amusing. It’s quite long and edited as if it were a short film, so Tom appears a few times. It, too, is also from his sojourn in Paris.

In a bizarre twist of being in two places at once, Fence Post.com had Tom participating in a Dirt Tour last week when he was tweeting about being onset for his next great adventure as Draco. Don’t worry, we checked. This was some other Tom Felton. 😉

And now that our journey has brought us back to present day, this is just a friendly reminder to those of you in London about Tom’s appearance at the iTunes Festival. If you remember, we posted about his opportunity just the other day after he tweeted about it.

While I’m keen on my twittering…I’m going to the iTunes festival at the Roundhouse Sat night…Having a little interview there..

They asked me if I wanted to play the guitar….major deliberations…too many amazing musicians around me to have the courage I’m thinking.

If any more news from tonight’s appearance comes our way, Feltbeats.com will let you know.
